There are many very good routes for walking and cycling around Callander.  The C7 Cycleway from Milngavie to Killin runs along the old railway track parallel to Craigard Road and there are many paths around the Callander Craig and to the Bracklinn Falls very near the cottage. The cruise around Loch Katrine on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott is a very relaxing activity with beautiful scenery. It is also possible to hire bikes at the Loch Katrine Pier and cycle around the loch.

OK, I admit it, I am a big fan.  You can visit Andy’s Golden Postbox at the roundabout where the High Street and The Cross meet near the Cathedral in Dunblane.

You can walk to the Callander Golf Course from the cottage.  Aberfoyle, Dunblane and Stirling Courses are all nearby and as the cottage is so centrally situated many of Scotland’s famous Courses are within 1 to 2 hours drive.
