Iran threatens aust gas exports to china analyst who suggested Moscow was trying to sell off US oil supplies

Czech-born Austrian oil tycoon Markus Hallett has died, his lawyer has said.

He died after a fall in the capital Prague on Tuesday.

Police believe a suicide bombing that killed Hallett could have been the work of Isis but that was still being investigated.

In a press conference at a police station on Wednesday Hallett’s lawyer said his client died after complications from an illness.

The spokesman said Hallett was known to be close to the Turkish government, adding: “On his deathbed he informed his wife of his intention to have a discussion with the president in the coming days.”

The death brings an end to Hallett’s 20-year career in the oil industry.

Before joining oil and gas company PetroSaudi in 1995, he was a well-known political opponent of then prime minister Johanna Sigurdardottir.

In 2008, he launched a lawsuit against the state, alleging irregularities that led to the collapse of five b아산안마ankrupt industrial companies, which had owed him money through their failure.

Hallett led a career spanning oil, oil trading and the banking industry before founding PetroSaudi.

His oil business included the oilfield company Petrak and its trading arm Petrak-Cex.

PetroSaudi has also been under 오바마카지노scrutiny for alleged illegal practices, a series of accusations including money laundering, and corruption and mismanagement.

Sigurdardottir, who was prime minister from 2000 to 2007, was recently criticised for not taking action against the “crooks” who had profited from the companies he bought and which the state owned.

Hallett said his death did not mean the end of PetroSaudi operations o바카라사이트r other controversial actions carried out by his company.

He told Austrian news agency Anadolu: “I’ve been the victim of various crimes. I was the one who failed and lost thousands of euros by investing [too big to fail] companies in the oil industry.”

PetroSaudi said the allegations against it were false and “in the end” Hallett was a victim of his own incompetence.

In 2014, police charged Hallett with tax evasion, fraud and false accounting. He was jailed for 17 months in October.

Hallett’s close ties to the government should be expected, with he had been a supporter since 2011 of Sigurdardotti
