Concern over proposed telstra tower could trigger action from government

The Federal Government could face a huge backlash if it goes ahead with its plans to build a $40.6 million megawatt tower at the Wollongong Golf Course.

The Government is considering building what would be Australia’s fourth supercell, which would have about 1,000 homes.

In its bid to woo more new homes, it wants to extend Victoria’s current residential infrastructure to the golf course, which is about an hour’s drive away.

It’s not just home-owners who have concerns about what the site might look like, experts say.

Finance Minister Bill Shorten is asking developers to consider “reinventing the wheel” to provide the site with a more affordable building.

Under a government plan to convert the golf course site into new homes, it should be built out of the desert between Dandenong and Sandringham, he said.

But the new building would need significant assista강릉출장마사지nce from locals to avoid displacement, including building some of its own homes on the site, he said.

Labor has launched its own investigation into whether the project should be delayed, while Mr Shorten has warned that an influx of people into local communities could impact on traffic and the way people interact with each other.

On Tuesday, the State Government told a parliamentary c광주출장샵ommittee it would support any “reinvention” of the project if a community group had concerns it would increase local tension.

State Environment Minister, Greg Hunt has also warned that the government needed to consult with the Sandringham and Dandenong communities first before making an announcement.

It is unlikely a ruling from the High Court against Telstra would result in an evacuation order, because the council is unlikely to want to see a public safety impact on a golf course, or on nearby beachgoers.

But if the site is not safe for residents, a government spokesperson told 9NEWS it could be a risk for those who visit the site: “Any proposed activities which have a significant impact on those who access the area by car우리카지노계열 or from a beach access point may lead to a requirement for local consultation and/or a decision to evacuate from the area.”

Telstra did not respond to questions about whether it would be concerned if residents were forced to leave if the project was not approved in time.
