Some common nicknames for e-cigarettes include e-cigs, vapes, vape pens, and mods (customizable, more powerful vaporizers). E-cigarettes come in many shapes and sizes but commonly have a power source (battery), a heating element (atomizer), a mouthpiece, and a cartridge or reservoir to hold liquid. E-cigarettes produce an aerosol by heating a liquid that usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and other chemicals that help to make the aerosol. Bystanders can also breathe in this aerosol when the user exhales into the air.

Researchers are working hard to gather more information about e-cigarettes and how they are used. This information may lead to additional regulations and could be helpful for informing the public about what’s in e-cigarettes and the potential health risks of using them. Studies on e-cigarettes as a quitting aid for nicotine addiction and cigarette use are few, with mixed and modest results. Some show that they are about equal in effectiveness to that of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) – like the nicotine patch. The term “vaping” comes from the act of inhaling and exhaling e-cigarette vapor (which is actually an aerosol).

And that’s why we would be looking for either a randomized controlled trial, a longitudinal cohort study, or some other kind of rich and robust data to show proof of a benefit. If we don’t see any of the kind of science that should be there to demonstrate benefit, that’s an application that’s probably headed for a denial. But when it comes to kids, the harm reduction question doesn’t apply because kids should not be inhaling any of these products into their lungs. After further lawsuits and delays, some caused by the COVID pandemic, a September 2020 court-ordered deadline was established for companies to submit applications to FDA seeking to market their e-cigarette products in the United States. I won’t soon forget because I watched and listened to my son who one minute would be crying uncontrollably and asking me through gut wrenching sobs, “Mom, why is this happening to me? And then the next minute he would be screaming with anger as he’d punch his bedroom dresser yelling, “Mom, what is wrong with me? This promising, healthy, strong, young high school boy with a 4.13 GPA and athletic abilities beyond the average person, was no longer the boy I knew as my son. It was a sign, like so many others; the flash drives that were vape devices, the stripped USB cords that were being used to hot wire his devices to charge them, the empty pods, cartridges and e-juice containers.

The “vapor” inhaled also can cause inflammations in the mouth, eventually leading to gum disease. Additionally, “vaping” has been proven to destroy the mitochondria used in wound healing. Over time, inhaling the particles present in the “vapor” can cause what has become the well-known “smoker’s cough.” Smoking is the leading cause of death and disease in the United States and according to the FDA, teen electronic cigarette use has skyrocketed by nearly 80 percent in the past year.

Endothelial cell migration is an important mechanism of vascular repair than can be disrupted in smokers due to endothelial dysfunction [25, 26]. The decision to pursue a smoking cessation objective, even in such a controlled form, should be made only after considering national circumstances, along with the risk of uptake and after exhausting other proven cessation strategies. This conclusion was widely reported by Chinese media during the next year or so and discussed repeatedly at the WeChat forum, and we estimate that it led some 20% of participants in the EC arm to stop EC use. As a result, we estimate that some 15% of participants in the varenicline arm stopped using their product. These events may have reduced quit rates in the EC and varenicline arms, but this would dilute rather than amplify the difference between these 2 arms and the NRT arm. Another external event affecting the trial was the COVID-19 pandemic.

Similarly, the 2018 National Academies (NASEM) report found limited evidence on the effectiveness of e-cigarettes to promote quitting. Among adult users, this is a troubling pattern because it suggests that some e-cigarette use may be supplementing smoking instead of replacing it. Because there is no safe level of smoking, there are concerns that this behavior suppresses efforts to completely quit smoking (i.e., people choosing to “cut down” instead of quitting smoking entirely). Some individuals using e-cigarettes to quit may experience a period of dual use as they transition between products, complicating the issue. The terms “e-cigarettes” and “e-cigs” are often used for electronic cigarettes, as well as for e-pens, e-pipes, e-hookah, and e-cigars.

Jacob, who was a starter player on varsity and who usually played the entire game, with a break only during half time, was now having problems getting through a whole game. As a matter of fact, he has breathing issues with simple things like gym class or even a friendly community basketball game. We are hoping that over time his breathing will rectify itself, and like the addiction, will just be a bad memory. He was a 17-year-old honor roll student in the 11th grade, taking AP and Honors classes.

E-cigarettes are called many different names, including “vapes,” “e-cigs,” “vapor products,” and “electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).” At the same time, there have been concerns that e-cigarette flavor bans might prompt some smokers or former smokers using e-cigarettes to return to exclusive smoking. Prior to the pandemic, the survey was conducted in person, inside the school classroom. Because of the changes in the way the survey was conducted this year, results of the 2021 NYTS cannot be compared to findings from previous surveys. A plain-language research summary that describes how e-cigarettes work, how safe they are compared to traditional… Table 3 demonstrates the prevalence of current and daily e-cigarette use across age groups and by combustible cigarette use. The prevalence of current e-cigarette use decreased with increasing age and was highest among young adults aged 18 to 20 years (18.1% [95% CI, 16.6%-19.6%]) and 21 to 24 years (18.6% [95% CI, 17.5%-19.7%]) (Figure and Table 3). Because most tobacco use starts during adolescence, actions to protect our nation’s young people from a lifetime of nicotine addiction are critical.

Then there are other pouches that contain synthetically made nicotine, which is made in the lab and is not derived from tobacco. I don’t know if it’s always apparent from the label whether it’s synthetic or not, but that’s a nuance that we’ve seen in our research. This trend was exacerbated by aggressive marketing, which often targeted younger audiences with social media campaigns and appealing flavors, leading to widespread use among teens throughout the decade.

If a person has been severely affected, they may have ongoing seizures or respiratory failure or other problems because of the damage done from low oxygen levels during the nicotine overdose event. Increased levels of nicotine or cotinine (nicotine metabolite) can be detected in urine or blood. There’s been one case report where two brothers smoked 17 and 18 pipes of tobacco in a row and were fatally poisoned. Nicotine poisoning refers to the toxic effects of consuming nicotine.

Juul’s sales increased over 600 percent each year to become the best selling device on the market while I inhaled an atmosphere’s worth of vanilla vapor into my lungs. I never kidded myself into thinking that this habit was harmless, but my conviction that they were less harmful than cigarettes made the endeavor seem worthwhile, even praiseworthy. (THE CONVERSATION) This article was originally published on Dec. 21, 2023 Californians – including minors – are still able to buy flavored electronic cigarettes online, even after the state’s much-publicized ban went into effect. That’s the key finding of my team’s 2023 study, published in JAMA Network Open. Initially marketed as a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes for adults looking to quit smoking, these products quickly caught the attention of younger demographics. A survey of more than 4,000 New Jersey adolescents found that 25% were vaping — far outpacing cigarette smoking, according to a 2020 study.

For example, in a previous large trial comparing EC and NRT conducted within the stop-smoking services in the UK,13 75% of the participants had tried treatment with NRT in the past. This raises a concern that the results of EC comparisons with other treatments may apply only to smokers who did not experience results with the alternative treatments in the past. This study replicated the previous findings of ECs being more effective than NRT despite only 3% of participants having had tried treatment with NRT before. There is no good evidence that second-hand vapour from e-cigarettes is harmful. As vaping is still relatively new, we can’t be sure there aren’t any long-term effects to people who breathe in someone else’s vapour. E-cigarettes should only be used to help you stop smoking, or to stop you going back to tobacco.

We show a significant increase in cytotoxicity caused by the vaping process itself. Importantly, exposure of macrophages to ECVC induced many of the same cellular and functional changes in AM function seen in cigarette smokers and patients with COPD. While further research is needed to fully understand the effects of e-cigarette exposure in humans in vivo, we suggest continued caution against the widely held opinion that e-cigarettes are safe. Third, our model represents an acute exposure, rather than a chronic exposure system which is better suited to in vivo animal experiments.

For example, tobacco-flavored e-cigarette cartridges sales dropped from 47.2% of those sold or given away in 2015 to 21% in 2018, while the sale of “other” flavored cartridges tripled in that time, increasing from 13.8% in 2015 to 42.1% in 2018. This was significant because Chantix, at one point, had a “black box warning” after reports linking the drug to psychiatric side effects. That warning was dropped in 2016 after a very large study showed the drug to be safe, but Toll and Fucito said the stigma of the warning remains in the minds of both health care providers and the general public. The American Association of Poison Control Centers, reports as of May 31, 2022, poison control centers have managed 2,451 exposure cases about e-cigarette devices and liquid nicotne in 2022. “We took a much lighter touch to reflect the behavioral support that you’d likely experience if you went to your doctor and asked for help with quitting e-cigarettes,” Fucito said. To recreate this, they developed a self-guided cessation booklet for patients, with practical tools and tips for quitting. A licensed health care provider also met with each patient to inform them of how to use the medication, offer brief advice and instruct them to set a quit date for one to two weeks after starting the medication. Individual businesses can prohibit the use of vape devices indoors but this is not required by state law. Vaping refers to the use of an electronic device (e-cigarette) to heat liquids that produce a vapour, which is then inhaled. “It’s a pernicious problem. The emergence of e-cigarettes and the resulting explosion of youth e-cigarette use have presented regulatory challenges. These issues include determining policies to deter youth use, appropriate taxation, clean air regulations, as well as standards for product approval.

AMs from eight never smokers, five men and three women, with normal spirometry and no history of asthma/COPD were obtained by repeated saline lavage from non-affected lung resection specimens (see online supplement for full extraction methods). By 2021, the rate for Native adults fell to 43% while the rage for non-Native adults was unchanged over that period. While a quarter of all Alaska adults reported that they used tobacco products in 2021, different patterns are emerging according to socioeconomic status, geography and other factors, the new report said. Reports in 2018 of increased e-cigarette use among adolescents and teenagers in the United States prompted the FDA to identify strategies for combating e-cigarette use by minors.

The lockdowns made the collection of CO readings difficult, particularly during 2 periods in 2022 shown in eFigure 2 in Supplement 2 when most study dropouts were recorded. This reduced the validated quit rates, but all 3 study arms were affected equally. This cluster of events is the likely reason for quit rates being lower than expected in our power calculations.

During the physical exam, your doctor will use a stethoscope to listen to your lungs, check your heartrate, and measure your blood oxygen saturation using a pulse oximeter. A chest X-ray or computed tomography (CT) scan is usually necessary for diagnosis and will show hazy looking spots (called opacities) in the lungs. Your doctor may also order bloodwork to rule out other possible causes of your illness. The Impact of E-Cigarettes on the Lung There’s evolving evidence about the health risks and impact of e-cigarettes on the lungs. Secretion of interleukin 6, tumour necrosis factor α, CXCL-8, monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 and matrix metalloproteinase 9 was significantly increased following ECVC challenge. Treatment with the anti-oxidant N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) ameliorated the cytotoxic effects of ECVC/nfECVC to levels not significantly different from baseline and restored phagocytic function. In response to this issue, the PACT Act Amendment prohibits sellers from using the U.S. Post Office to ship e-cigarettes, vapes, flavored and smokeless tobacco products. The PACT Act applies to all shipments in interstate commerce (15 U.S.C. § 376) as well as to all delivery sales. While e-cigarettes are often marketed as a way for adults to quit nicotine, a whole new generation of non-smokers is now taking to the habit in young adulthood.

Starting in 2019, the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) began accepting e-cigarette devices and cartridges during their annual National Prescription Take Back Day, although the DEA cannot accept devices containing lithium ion batteries. Guidance exists on best practices on this concept of accountability — known as end-producer responsibility — but isn’t enforced across the industry by any governing body. “These alarming trends in the use of EVPs suggest the need for targeted interventions such as mass media campaigns and peer interventions to combat the influences of social norms that promote the adoption of risky health behaviors during adolescence,” said Hennekens. “Clinical interventions could include routine screening for vaping and nicotine dependence during adolescent health assessments as well as counseling and tailored cessation programs.” In 2022, 6% of adults in the U.S. reported current vaping device use. Widespread use by adults has raised concerns about EVP use among adolescents.

2 Average reductions in levels of a range of harmful chemicals (excluding nicotine) compared to the smoke of a reference cigarette (3R4F). 1 Average reductions in levels of a range of harmful chemicals (excluding nicotine) compared to the smoke of a reference cigarette (3R4F). These smoke-free products are not risk-free, as they provide nicotine, which is addictive.

E-cigarettes create an aerosol by using a battery to heat up liquid that usually contains nicotine, flavorings, and other additives. E-cigarettes can also be used to deliver cannabinoids such as marijuana, and other drugs. How a country approaches ENDS will depend on factors particular to its situation. In others they are regulated as consumer products, as pharmaceutical products, as tobacco products, in other categories or totally unregulated.

These devices are referred to by a variety of names, including “e-cigs,” “e-hookahs,” “mods,” “vape pens,” “vapes,” and “tank systems.” E-cigarettes can also be used to deliver other drugs besides nicotine, such as marijuana. E-cigarettes, also known as e-cigs, vapes, vape pens, and electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS), are experiencing rapid growth in popularity, especially among teens and young adults. They come in a variety of forms, sometimes looking like USB flash drives, pens, and other items that make them hard for parents and teachers to spot. Researchers said this could be due to decreased toxic effects of e-cigarette usage, early dissipation of the toxic effects, or the fact that it has not been studied long enough to show permanent damage to portray cardiovascular disease morbidity.

The researchers also raise concerns about risks of short- as well as long-term use of EVPs. That’s up to the e-cigarette companies, because the companies get to decide what kind of authorization they want to seek from FDA. There’s no reason why an e-cigarette company can’t say, “Thank you, Center for Tobacco Products, but we’d rather our product be regulated as a drug and we’re going to submit applications to the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.” That’s their choice.

These products are also sometimes called “JUULs” (after a branded e-cigarette of the same name), “vapes,” and “vape pens.” Governor Gretchen Whitmer has taken aggressive action to protect Michigan kids from the harmful effects of vaping, including making Michigan the first state in the nation to ban flavored nicotine vaping products. To protect kids now, states and cities must also continue their growing efforts to end the sale of flavored e-cigarettes, as well as other flavored tobacco products.

As 63% of participants in the EC arm still used their products at 6 months, further studies are needed to assess whether such use is beneficial or harmful. E-cigarettes produce an aerosol by heating a liquid that usually contains nicotine ijoy bar 6000 precio, flavorings, and other chemicals that make the aerosols. The liquid is sometimes called e-juice, e-liquid, vape juice, or vape liquid. Bystanders can also breathe in this aerosol when the user exhales it into the air.

The bottom line is e-cigarettes and vapes are unsafe for kids, teens and young adults. Nicotine is harmful to the developing brain and the use of e-cigarettes as a teen increases the likelihood of smoking cigarettes as an adult. The chemical additives and flavoring can also cause unwanted health effects. The electronic cigarette (e-cigarette), for many considered as a safe alternative to conventional cigarettes, has revolutionised the tobacco industry in the last decades.

In addition, the research team delivered increasing concentrations of the nicotine over time, from 1% to 2.5%, to 5%. Another potential risk in studies of this type is the use of nonallocated products. As in previous studies, a much higher proportion of participants in the EC arm than in the other arms continued to use their product throughout the study period (63% vs 0%). The key question about long-term switching from smoking to EC use is whether this is a positive or a negative outcome.

“Our finding indicates that health care expenditures for a person who uses e-cigarettes are $2,024 more per year than for a person who doesn’t use any tobacco products,” said lead author Yingning Wang, PhD, of the UCSF Institute for Health & Aging. Use of electronic cigarettes costs the United States $15 billion annually in health care expenditures – more than $2,000 per person a year – according to a study by researchers at the UC San Francisco School of Nursing. “Electronic Cigarette” means any device that can provide an inhaled dose of nicotine by delivering a vaporized solution [and] includes the components of an electronic cigarette including, but not limited to, liquid nicotine. This was a significant increase from 2016, when a national survey of high school and middle school students found that just 31% said that the availability of “flavors such as mint, candy, fruit, or chocolate” was the primary reason they used e-cigarettes. In addition, 81% of adolescents said they used flavors the first time they tried e-cigarettes.

E-cigarettes have been strongly linked to continued tobacco use and are not recommended for young people. Vaping can cause eye, throat, and nose irritation, as well as irritation in the respiratory tract. The nicotine in e-cigarettes can cause dizziness and nausea, especially in new users. E-cigarettes contain many of the same toxins as regular cigarettes, but they may have smaller amounts. Some brands also have much less nicotine than regular cigarettes or no nicotine at all.

Those primarily using menthol before the ban were both less likely to quit and less likely to continue the same flavor after the ban than those primarily using non-TM flavors before the ban. Those primarily using non-flavored e-cigarettes before the ban were more likely to quit than those primarily used tobacco flavor before the ban. People who used e-cigarettes daily before the ban were less likely to quit and more likely to keep using non-TM flavors.

You can read more about the program in this recent USA Today article. These devices are permitted on planes, but the FAA recently notified airlines that the lithium batteries used in these devices are fire hazards and should not be packed in checked baggage. This page may contain information that is outdated and may not reflect current policy or programs. In recent months, the FDA and the Justice Department have announced the first lawsuits and fines targeting vape shops and manufacturers selling unauthorized products. Every provider at Loma Linda University Health can tell you how important it is to keep your lungs healthy. Our lung specialists, like Dr. Laren Tan, see patients every day who suffer from debilitating lung issues caused by smoking. If you experience side effects from vaping, get advice from a stop smoking adviser or specialist vape retailer before you decide to stop using a vape as your quit smoking tool. Remember to keep vapes and e-liquid out of the reach of children and pets, as there is a risk of poisoning if nicotine is swallowed. So far, no vaping products have been licensed as stop smoking medicines in the UK, so they are not available on prescription from the NHS or from a GP.

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2015 found a connection too. Researchers surveyed 2,500 Los Angeles high school students who had never smoked. They found that kids who used e-cigs were more likely than non-users to smoke cigarettes or other tobacco products over the next year.

Nicotine gum was selected as the most widely used form of NRT in China. Three boxes containing 105 pieces of the gum each were provided at each monthly contact, with an option to request additional supplies if needed. Smoking causes at least 15 different types of cancer so stopping smoking completely is the best thing you can do for your health.

Make sure you buy your vaping products from a reputable retailer so you can be confident they are covered by UK safety and quality regulations. It’s important to choose an e-liquid with enough nicotine to reduce withdrawal symptoms and urges to smoke. You need to start at a nicotine level that matches your cigarette use – how frequently and how much you smoke. A specialist vape shop or your local Stop Smoking Service can advise you.

All research was done in a quiet, temperature-controlled room at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) Human Physiology Laboratory. Participants were asked to lie down on a recliner with a footrest and 10 electrodes were placed on their chest following standard echocardiogram (EKG) protocol. Blood was drawn for baseline levels of nicotine and cotinine — a metabolite of nicotine — and then the EKG recorded for five minutes while the room was kept quiet.

Participants received a 12-week supply of varenicline (Chantix; Pfizer) and a leaflet with product use instructions. Participants were instructed to start using varenicline from the next day and stop smoking completely from their TQD onward. Participants were then randomized into 1 of the 3 interventions and given their study product and instructions on how to use it.

Nevertheless, there is no doubt that the deleterious effects of battery output voltage are not comparable to those exerted by CS extracts [30] (Figs. 1 and 2). With regards to toxicity, little is known about the effects of humectants when they are heated and chronically inhaled. Studies have indicated that PG can induce respiratory irritation and increase the probability of asthma development [55, 56], and both PG and glycerol from e-cigarettes might reach concentrations sufficiently high to potentially cause irritation of the airways [57]. Indeed, the latter study established that one e-cigarette puff results in a PG exposure of 430–603 mg/m3, which is higher than the levels reported to cause airway irritation (average 309 mg/m3) based on a human study [55]. The same study established that one e-cigarette puff results in a glycerol exposure of 348–495 mg/m3 [57], which is close to the levels reported to cause airway irritation in rats (662 mg/m3) [58].

Adolescents are more likely to use e-cigarettes than any other tobacco product, and rates of e-cigarette use have risen sharply in recent years. Population-level interventions to reduce tobacco use include price increases, mass media campaigns, and smoke-free policies that include e-cigarettes. The role of non-combustible alternatives to the cigarette is a variable that Surgeon General Terry and his committee did not have to address. Determining whether and how to integrate such products into the fight against smoking-related death and disease is the task of public health and tobacco control experts of today. In this 60th Anniversary year, it is hoped that the 2024 Summit will embody the spirit of the 1964 report that placed scientific evidence at the forefront of public health action.

For example, the study design doesn’t allow researchers to establish causation, but Dr. Vindhyal said in the release that it does show a clear association between any kind of smoking and negative health outcomes. The researchers were also unable to determine whether these outcomes may have occurred prior to using e-cigarettes, according to the ACC release. “Cigarette smoking carries a much higher probability of heart attack and stroke than e-cigarettes, but that doesn’t mean that vaping is safe,” Dr. Vindhyal said, adding that some e-cigarettes contain nicotine and release very similar toxic compounds to tobacco smoking.

The study, one of the largest to date looking at the relationship between e-cigarette use and cardiovascular and other health outcomes and among the first to establish an association. The findings were spotlighted in a Popular Science article, which referenced another study led by Paul Ndunda, M.D., also an assistant professor in Internal Medicine at KU School of Medicine-Wichita. “Until now, little has been known about cardiovascular events relative to e-cigarette use,” Dr. Vindhyal, assistant professor in Internal Medicine at KU School of Medicine-Wichita, stated in the ACC release. “These data are a real wake-up call and should prompt more action and awareness about the dangers of e-cigarettes.”

E-cigarette vapour has been reported to contain up to 7×1011 free radicals per puff.10 Both nicotine-free and nicotine-containing condensate induced a significant increase in ROS release from our AMs, which may explain the induction of apoptosis in nicotine-free liquid. There was significantly greater ROS production in AMs treated with nicotine-containing condensate than in nicotine-free condensate, once again suggesting both nicotine dependent and independent mechanisms at work. The effects of ECVC with and without were ameliorated by NAC and PI3K inhibition. A Foundation-led study presented at the 2024 Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco annual meeting found that monthly e-cigarette sales in California declined by 41% after statewide restrictions on the sale of flavored tobacco products took effect. However, the report also noted that the tobacco industry continues to market products to offset these declines, including non-menthol cigarettes that contain other cooling chemicals.

The 2019 data revealed that 45% borrowed or “bummed” them, 14% gave money to other people to buy them and 8% were given the products by adults. My reading of the evidence is that smokers who switch to vaping remove almost all the risks smoking poses to their health. Smokers differ in their needs and I would advise them not to give up on e-cigarettes if they do not like the first one they try.

Please be advised that many of these stories contain graphic and upsetting photos of injuries. HISD voted to reclassify the violation to prevent a mandatory placement. Fort Bend ISD created a substance abuse program for first-time offenders focused on prevention and education. Cy-Fair ISD is among the districts that confirmed that certain students were not sent to DAEPs after the disciplinary review process. Some parents and educators wrote to ABC13 to support the severe action against e-cigarettes. However, local school districts with the District of Innovation designation have found other ways to address the issue.

Because e-cigarettes contain nicotine derived from tobacco, they are now subject to government regulation as tobacco products. In December 2019, the federal government raised the legal minimum age of sale of tobacco products from 18 to 21 years, and in January 2020, the FDA issued a policy on the sale of flavored vaping cartridges. Products marketed for therapeutic purposes (for example, marketed as a product to help people quit smoking) are regulated by FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). FDA published a rule clarifying when products made or derived from tobacco are regulated as tobacco products, drugs, and/ or devices.

This makes them a better choice for people who already smoke or use other tobacco products. Vaping may have some benefits for smokers who switch to it as a complete substitute for using other tobacco products. In 2018, 3.6 million U.S. high school and middle school students smoked an e-cigarette within 30 days of polling, making it the most common tobacco product used among this group. The Tobacco Act 1987 regulates all e-cigarettes (nicotine and nicotine-free) in the same way as tobacco products. According to owner Marco Altamore, “Government regulations, specifically the FDA, have made it impossible to continue operating in America.

Pediatricians, substance use treatment counselors, school personnel, and law enforcement should work together to address the impact of vaping. Health professionals should ask patients about their vaping habits to assess negative health outcomes. School personnel and substance use treatment counselors need to understand discreet vaping, especially when it’s used to consume drugs other than nicotine.

Fourth, there is currently a huge disparity in the literature regarding e-cigarettes. Many groups have championed the benign nature of ECL while others have shown the cytotoxic effects of ECL in vitro and in vivo. This disparity may reflect the lack of a standardised model of in vitro cellular exposure and interpretation. Therefore, until a gold standard is established, continued controversy is likely. However, our model seeks to replicate the actual exposure of the users’ AMs post vaping.
